The St. Louis Blues are trimming down their roster ahead of opening night by making several player moves.
Goaltender Georgii Romanov and defenseman Calle Rosen were both placed on waivers by the organization. Romanov enters his second year with the club following a previous season with Springfield where he posted a 3.29 goals-against average and an .898 save percentage.
Rosen, a veteran blueliner, spent time across the NHL and Springfield after being reacquired from Washington, tallying eight goals and 31 points in his return. In corresponding moves, the team added defenseman Justin Barron via a claim from Nashville and recalled 2024 first-round draft selection Adam Jiricek.
These additions have pushed the roster past the player limit, pointing toward Tyler Tucker heading to the injured reserve and either Barron or Jiricek ultimately heading down to the American Hockey League.
