South Carolina suspends DE Dylan Stewart after he was flagged for throwing a punch at an Alabama player in Gamecocks' loss

South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart faces an indefinite suspension after being penalized for throwing a punch during a lopsided defeat against Alabama. Head coach Shane Beamer condemned the disciplinary infraction as unacceptable, while also addressing a sideline confrontation where the defender initially resisted being substituted off the field.

The disciplinary measure sidelines the standout pass rusher for the upcoming matchup against Kentucky, interrupting a season that follows previous back issues and productive campaigns in past years.
