He joins a very select group of professional basketball athletes to manage hosting duties for the broadcast, following in the footsteps of former stars like Bill Russell, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James.

The fiftieth-second season opener will be broadcast live at eleven-thirty eastern time on the television network, with next-day viewing available through digital streaming, featuring the musical group Katseye. The broadcast takes place in the same city where Brunson previously appeared at Herald Square during a fashion runway event.
