Slovenia come from behind to beat Scotland in Nations League

Scotland’s Nations League hopes took a setback at Hampden Park as Slovenia staged a dramatic comeback to secure a 2–1 victory. The Scots had taken the lead through Ryan Christie, who capitalized on a Jack Hendry deflection off the post to open the scoring in the 31st minute.

However, Slovenia’s Aljosa Matko equalized just six minutes into the second half, and Danijel Sturm sealed the win with a clinical finish after a quick counterattack, leaving Scotland struggling to find a way back despite two contentious penalty appeals for Findlay Curtis and Josh McPake being dismissed.
