
Former rugby international Jones has shed substantial weight, dropping from 24 stone 7 pounds to 19 stone 7 pounds after deciding to overhaul his lifestyle and diet. Inspired by television footage from his time coaching in Japan and health issues including gout, the former player cut out chocolate and bread while adopting a progressive couch-to-5k running strategy.
The training evolved into longer distances, culminating in a recent 17-kilometer session as he prepares to run a half-marathon in Cardiff to raise funds for St David's Hospice Care and Prostate Cymru with support from Warren Gatland and Craig White.
