Senators Now Expect Andre Burakovsky To Miss Senators Season Opener

Ottawa forward Andre Burakovsky is unlikely to participate in the upcoming season opener in Toronto after sustaining an upper-body injury during a weekend matchup against Montreal. Head coach Travis Green confirmed that the winger has not returned to the ice since taking a cross-check from Arber Xhekaj.

Burakovsky joins Artem Zub on the early-season injury list, though the club holds more positive expectations regarding Jake Sanderson.
