Seahawks sign college teammate of Jake Bobo to practice squad

Following a narrow 33-31 defeat against the Washington Commanders, Mike Macdonald and the Seattle Seahawks have adjusted their practice squad ahead of a matchup with Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers. Defensive tackle Gary Smith III has joined the organization, filling a roster spot after Uso Seumalo was released.

Smith previously played alongside Jake Bobo during their shared collegiate careers at Duke and UCLA.

After going undrafted in the spring, Smith spent training camp with the Las Vegas Raiders before being waived prior to the regular season. The newest Seattle defensive lineman now looks to establish himself on the practice squad as the team prepares for Week 4.
