Salman sacked; PCB names Asian Games captain as Pakistan's new T20I skipper

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Sahibzada Farhan as the new T20I captain, replacing Salman Ali Agha ahead of the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. The three-match T20I series will kick off on October 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, marking Farhan’s first assignment as the team’s white-ball skipper in the shortest format.

Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead Pakistan’s ODI team during the upcoming trilateral series, retaining his position in the longer format despite being dropped from the T20I squad. The decision comes as PCB reshuffles leadership roles ahead of high-stakes fixtures in the coming weeks.
