Sabres' Jiri Kulich celebrates return from blood clot issues by scoring game-winner against Chicago

Jiri Kulich made a triumphant return to the ice for Buffalo, netting the decisive goal with under seven minutes left to cap a comeback victory over Chicago. Having missed extensive time last year due to health concerns involving blood clots, the young forward completed the team's rally after earlier contributions from his teammates erased a multi-goal deficit.

Meanwhile, opening night action across the league brought wins for Ottawa and Tampa Bay, while Carolina secured an overtime triumph in Philadelphia.
