Ryan O'Reilly Hits Major Milestone Against Hometown Maple Leafs

Nashville Predators forward Ryan O'Reilly delivered a standout performance in a hard-fought 5-4 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 6, 2026. The Predators fell short despite a strong effort, with Toronto’s Auston Matthews securing the game-winning goal with just 14 seconds remaining in overtime, adding to his three assists during regulation.

Nashville’s struggles extended into the final period, as they failed to capitalize on a three-goal deficit, ultimately bowing out in a game that saw Toronto’s Anthony Stolarz make 21 saves. The loss marked Nashville’s first road game of the season, kicking off a three-game Canadian trip that began with a tough defeat at Scotiabank Arena.
