Rory McIlroy is set to return to Dubai for the DP World Tour Championship, where he will aim to extend his legacy as one of the European Tour’s most decorated players. The Northern Irish star, currently ranked second in the Race to Dubai standings, is chasing his eighth Harry Vardon Trophy and a chance to tie Colin Montgomerie’s record for most wins in the competition.
McIlroy, who has already secured back-to-back Masters titles—including a successful defense of his 2025 Green Jacket—will look to capitalize on his strong form heading into the season-ending event. His recent performance at the BMW PGA Championship, where he finished tied for second, has narrowed the gap to leader Patrick Reed, setting up another high-stakes battle for the European No.
1 spot at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 12–15. Beyond Dubai, McIlroy’s schedule remains packed, with plans to compete at the Australian Open in December, marking his second consecutive appearance in the tournament.
He will also participate in the Cathedral Invitational, an event benefiting Adam Scott’s foundation, further solidifying his commitment to both competition and philanthropy as the year draws to a close.
