Robin Uthappa named Mumbai Indians' batting coach, T Dilip joins franchise as fielding coach

Mumbai Indians have finalized their coaching staff for the 2027 IPL season, appointing Robin Uthappa as the new batting coach. This transition follows Kieron Pollard's promotion to head coach, replacing Mahela Jayawardene.

The franchise also confirmed that T Dilip will lead the fielding department, while Mitchell McClenaghan takes over as bowling coach and Dhawal Kulkarni joins as a development bowling coach. These appointments mark a significant overhaul for a team that has struggled to secure a title over the past six years, finishing at the bottom of the table in 2024 and ninth in 2026.
