Road teams rule on historic postseason day

Wednesday marked an unprecedented day in baseball postseason history as visiting squads captured victories across every matchup on the schedule. With the Dodgers, Rays, and Brewers locking up series victories alongside the Guardians extending theirs, it created the first instance where at least four playoff games were played on a single date and the away team triumphed in all of them.

Since the Division Series format was established in 1995, and following rare historical occurrences like the 1981 split-season format, this milestone stood out despite prior occasions where home squads conversely swept four-game slates.
