Rival SEC Coach Reveals Nick Saban’s Wife Miss Terry Always Called Shots for Him at Alabama

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian recently highlighted the significant role Terry Saban played in the hiring process during her husband Nick Saban's tenure at Alabama. Candidates for coaching positions were required to pass a dinner interview with Terry, whose approval was essential for any potential staff member.

Sarkisian, who worked under Nick Saban in 2016 and from 2019 to 2020, credited the couple for supporting his career during a difficult period. During a 2025 media appearance, Terry Saban also indicated that the couple has no interest in a return to coaching, noting they are enjoying their current lifestyle.
