Republic of Ireland will play second Israel game - Hallgrimsson

Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has confirmed that his squad will proceed with their remaining fixture against Israel in the Uefa Nations League, despite external pressure and a prior player vote regarding the matchup. Speaking ahead of a fixture with Austria, Hallgrimsson emphasized his focus on athletic preparation rather than security concerns or surrounding controversy, noting that association directives dictate fulfillment of both matches.

Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu has rejoined training following an initial withdrawal over personal convictions, receiving backing from management as Josh Keeley prepares to step in for the upcoming contest.
