Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker exited Sunday's 21-18 defeat against the Browns during the third quarter after sustaining a quad injury. Although he had played through an ankle issue earlier in the contest, this new concern forced him out early with two receptions for 18 yards, bringing his season totals to 18 catches, 222 yards, and two touchdowns.
According to Ian Rapoport, the ailment is a minor strain, though the pass catcher currently carries a questionable designation for the upcoming Sunday night matchup against the Lions in Week 4.
In addition to Coker's situation, cornerback Jaycee Horn also picked up a quad problem during the same contest. Head coach Dave Canales noted following the final whistle that the defensive back still requires further evaluation to determine the severity of his condition.
