Two fighters from UFC Vegas 123 were rushed to a Las Vegas hospital for precautionary CT scans following their respective bouts at Meta Apex on Halloween night. Renato Moicano, a former UFC Lightweight title challenger, suffered a third-round technical knockout loss to Tom Nolan in the main event.
The fight sparked controversy after referee Dan Miragliotta controversially stood up Moicano mid-round despite his dominant position, allowing Nolan to counter and eventually finish him. Moicano’s loss marks his third defeat in his last four fights and leaves him on a 1-1 record in UFC main events this year.
Meanwhile, Welterweight Farman Hasanov was stopped in the third round of his fight against Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani due to a severe cut over his left eye, ending his undefeated record and dropping him to 1-1 in the Octagon. Both fighters’ scans were pending at the time of the report, though such evaluations are standard after high-impact fights in the UFC.
