Reese scores 23, Hillmon makes go-ahead basket in OT as Dream beat Liberty 101-98 for a 2-0 lead

The Atlanta Dream extended their WNBA semifinals dominance with a hard-fought overtime victory over the New York Liberty, securing a commanding 2-0 series lead. Angel Reese led the charge with 23 points, while Jonquel Jones delivered the game-winning basket in the final seconds of regulation before the Dream sealed the win in extra time, 101-98.

The Liberty had briefly taken the lead on a rim-grabbing play by Jones, but the Dream’s resilience in overtime proved decisive. This win puts Atlanta one step closer to the WNBA Finals, following their earlier 92-82 triumph in Game 1.

The series now shifts back to New York, where the Liberty will look to even the score after two straight losses to the Dream, who have shown no signs of slowing down in their playoff push. Jordin Canada also contributed significantly in Game 1 with 25 points, including a second-half surge that helped Atlanta control the pace and force 21 turnovers from New York.
