Liberty fall to 0-2 in semifinals against Dream after 101-98 loss in overtime

The Atlanta Dream extended their semifinal lead over the New York Liberty with a hard-fought 101-98 overtime victory, moving to 2-0 in the series. Angel Reese led the charge with 23 points, including six in overtime, while Naz Hillmon sealed the win with a clutch layup just over 20 seconds into extra time.

The Liberty’s Breanna Stewart dominated with 35 points, but a missed final shot and a critical pass miscue by Sabrina Ionescu left New York without a chance to tie the game. The Dream’s Jordin Canada added 23 points and eight assists, while Stewart’s 25 first-half points kept the Liberty competitive until late in regulation.

The series now shifts to New York for Game 3 on Friday, where the Liberty will look to even the best-of-three matchup.
