
Max Verstappen claimed the runner-up spot at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix held in Madrid, crossing the line behind race winner Kimi Antonelli. Although Verstappen overtook Antonelli on the first lap, his team ordered him to relinquish a pair of track positions during the grand prix.
Red Bull leadership has since stood by the call, with team boss Laurent Mekies dismissing the idea that Verstappen could have secured the victory without having to surrender those places.
