Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy campaign will kick off with a home match against Chandigarh before facing Himachal Pradesh in a rescheduled fixture. The away game, originally set for Dharamshala from October 18 to 21, has been moved to Bilaspur’s Luhnu Cricket Ground due to persistent heavy rain, which prevented ground preparations at the hill town venue.
Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association secretary Manuj Sharma confirmed the change, citing weather delays that also forced the relocation of recent India Women A matches against Australia A from the same location. Bilaspur, known for landmarks like the Bhakra Dam, will now host the match, while Dharamshala remains hopeful of hosting the team’s next home fixture once conditions improve.
