Dowman tipped to flourish with Old Firm loan - gossip

Arsenal forward Max Dowman could benefit from a high-profile loan spell in Scotland, according to former England striker Emile Heskey, who suggested the move to either Celtic or Rangers might accelerate his development. Meanwhile, St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari has urged young forward Taylor Steven to push for a full Scotland call-up after his strong performances in the under-21 squad.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen midfielder Connor Ronan has expressed confidence in teammate Kevin Nisbet to surpass 20 goals for the season, while former Liverpool and Leicester City striker Emile Heskey revealed he was once approached by Celtic during Martin O’Neill’s first tenure as manager. Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho continued his impressive form post-Celtic, scoring in a friendly draw against Russia, adding to his recent goal tally for Bursaspor.

In transfer news, Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City are reportedly eyeing former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, though Besiktas are demanding an exceptionally high fee for a potential sale.
