The Los Angeles Rams finally broke through on their opening second-half drive, snapping a season-long trend of scoring struggles in that stretch. Blake Corum capped a methodical nine-play, 60-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run, giving the Rams a 14-13 lead.
The drive was jumpstarted by Alex Bachman’s 32-yard kickoff return to the Rams’ 40-yard line, setting up the offense after a slow start. The Rams’ offensive line also played a key role, with Tyler Higbee making a crucial 10-yard catch on fourth-and-6 after a false start penalty moved them into field-goal range.
Additionally, Higbee’s 17-yard pass interference call on Buffalo’s Cole Bishop in the end zone created the perfect scoring opportunity for Corum. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 21 of 30 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown, maintaining efficiency while the Rams’ ground game took control.
