Rams could pull rare midseason trade for kicker?

The Los Angeles Rams recently released Harrison Mevis and signed Blake Grupe to handle kicking duties. However, general manager Les Snead may still be looking for upgrades, with Joey Slye of the Tennessee Titans and Riley Patterson of the Miami Dolphins identified as potential trade targets.

Both players are veterans on struggling teams and carry affordable contracts for the remainder of the season. Slye has converted five of six field goals this year, while Patterson has successfully made seven of nine attempts.

The organization could consider these options if their current arrangement with Grupe fails to provide the necessary consistency.
