Raiders start Klint Kubiak era with complete team victory

Klint Kubiak launched his tenure as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders with a 27-13 victory against the Miami Dolphins at Allegiant Stadium. Quarterback Kirk Cousins, debuting for Las Vegas following an offseason trade from Atlanta, went 21-for-30 through the air for 160 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.

His performance carried him past a significant milestone, becoming just the 15th passer in NFL history to record at least 300 career touchdown tosses, ending the contest at 301.

Running back Ashton Jeanty played a pivotal role in the win, hauling in two scoring strikes among his six receptions for 45 yards while simultaneously churning out 102 yards on the ground. The 2025 sixth overall draft selection showed no lingering issues from an ankle ailment sustained on August 23, securing his third career game surpassing the century mark on the ground.

Meanwhile, the contest marked an unsuccessful launch for Miami's fresh leadership core featuring general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, head coach Jeff Hafley, and starting signal-caller Malik Willis.
