Power Rankings Reaction: Where Are Wolves Going Into Preseason?

The Minnesota Timberwolves enter the upcoming season positioned sixth in the latest NBA preseason power rankings. While the roster has undergone significant changes, including the departures of Julius Randle and Naz Reid alongside the additions of LaMelo Ball and Jonathan Kuminga, expectations remain high for the team to contend in the Western Conference.

Analysts suggest that the potential synergy between Ball and Anthony Edwards could create a potent offensive backcourt, provided the defensive core led by Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels maintains its effectiveness. Minnesota currently trails the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics in the league-wide standings.
