Power Rankings: Gotham FC rise to the top as Spirit slip

NJ/NY Gotham FC climbed to the top spot in the latest league power rankings following a 2-1 victory over Racing Louisville, rebounding from an upset loss to Denver. Guro Reiten netted early to become the first Norwegian goalscorer in NWSL history, and after Louisville leveled the score nine minutes later, Jaedyn Shaw converted the deciding goal right after halftime to lift her season totals to a team-best seven goals and five assists.

Meanwhile, San Diego Wave FC moved into second place with their own 2-1 triumph over North Carolina behind tallies from Gia Corley and Melanie Barcenas, while third-ranked Seattle Reign FC extended the league's longest active winning run to three straight clean sheets by defeating Bay FC 2-0 with goals from Sofia Huerta and Brittany Ratcliffe.
