Pittsburgh Penguins At Philadelphia Flyers Preview: Lineup Changes, Where To Watch

The Pittsburgh Penguins kick off their 2026-27 campaign on Wednesday evening against the Philadelphia Flyers, five months after being eliminated by their rivals in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Philadelphia brings back nearly their entire roster from last season, including forward Porter Martone and goaltender Dan Vladar, who secured a five-year contract extension this summer.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh enters the matchup dealing with several missing players, as Ben Kindel, Justin Brazeau, Bryan Rust, and Andrei Kuzmenko are unavailable. However, head coach Dan Muse indicated that Blake Lizotte is likely to play despite being listed on the injured reserve.

Arturs Silovs gets the nod in net for the Penguins as the puck drops at 7:30 p.m. ET with television coverage on TNT and truTV.
