UFC Featherweight Gaston Bolanos has pulled out of his scheduled bout against Francis Marshall at UFC Vegas 123, set for October 31, 2026, at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Bolanos shared a photo of a deep cut above his eyebrow on social media, but revealed in a statement that an undisclosed injury sustained during training ultimately forced his withdrawal.

The 9-5 veteran, who was aiming for back-to-back wins after defeating Michael Aswell Jr. by unanimous decision in June, expressed disappointment but emphasized his commitment to returning fully healed.

Marshall will now face Dakota Hope, a 11-2 Featherweight with ties to 4oz Fight Club, in a short-notice replacement matchup. Meanwhile, Marshall, who had struggled early in his UFC career with a 1-3 record, has rebounded with two straight victories over Erik Silva and Lucas Brennan, improving his overall tally to 10-3.
