The Phoenix Suns have secured a long-term commitment from center Oso Ighodaro, agreeing to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the franchise through the 2030-31 season. The deal, which begins in 2028, follows the Suns' decision to pick up Ighodaro's $2.5 million team option for the 2027-28 campaign.
The extension guarantees him nearly $9 million in his first year, rising incrementally to just over $10 million by the final season, reflecting his growth from a 2024 second-round pick into a reliable starter and playoff contributor. After a breakout 2025-26 season—where he averaged 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while starting 24 games—Ighodaro further proved his value in the postseason, delivering 7.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in four starts against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
