Phillies vs. Braves live updates: Score, highlights from NL wild-card opener

The 2026 Major League Baseball postseason opens this afternoon at Truist Park with a National League wild card series opener between the division rivals Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves. The Braves secured their playoff spot by capturing the NL East crown by six games and will send starting pitcher Chris Sale to the mound.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia clinched the final wild card berth thanks to Zack Wheeler's strong performance in the regular-season finale, setting up Jesus Luzardo to start Game 1 after returning from an injury.
