Phillies lose Luis Arraez for wild-card series vs. Braves

Philadelphia will enter its upcoming postseason matchup missing a key contributor due to a recent injury. Manager Don Mattingly confirmed that second baseman Luis Arraez will miss the wild-card series against Atlanta.

The infielder hurt his left ankle during a late-September contest against Milwaukee and was sidelined for the remainder of the regular schedule. He concluded the campaign with a .310 batting average, missing out on a batting title by a narrow margin to Arizona player Gabriel Moreno.
