Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback Hank Brown will sit out Friday’s matchup against Washington, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The decision leaves Jeremy Hecklinski as the starter for his first career game, a role he’ll assume after posting 208 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception this season.
Iowa’s offense will need a strong performance to rebound from a 31-14 loss to Ohio State last week, which snapped a perfect 4-0 start to the season. The Hawkeyes remain in contention for a 5-1 record if they can secure the win over Washington, with kickoff set for 9 p.m.
