Peralta shines as Rays seize on Ramírez error to level ALCS against Guardians

The Tampa Bay Rays turned a defensive miscue into a statement win, overcoming the Cleveland Guardians 3-1 in Game 2 of the ALCS. Freddy Peralta anchored the effort with six strong innings, allowing just four hits while keeping the opposition off the board.

The momentum shifted in the fourth inning after José Ramírez’s error sparked a three-run surge, with Liam Hicks driving in two of those runs to extend the Rays’ lead. The series now stands tied at 1-1, setting the stage for a pivotal Game 3 in Cleveland on Thursday night.
