Pens Points: Roster is set

The Pittsburgh Penguins finalized their opening night roster as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Flyers, though early injuries to Bryan Rust and Ben Kindel will sideline both players to begin the campaign. Following the roster announcement, general manager Kyle Dubas spoke with reporters regarding lineup adjustments and the team's physical state.

Meanwhile, captain Sidney Crosby enters the final season of his contract without a new deal finalized. In other league updates, former forwards Matt Nieto and Kevin Hayes both announced their retirements from professional hockey within the past week.
