Penn State WR Chase Sowell has had quite the journey

Journeyman wide receiver Chase Sowell has taken a winding path to Penn State for the remainder of their campaign amid mounting offensive concerns. Hailing from Texas after a high school campaign featuring more than 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns, he began his college career as a three-star recruit with a single scholarship offer from Colorado before brief stints at East Carolina and Iowa State yielded breakout performances and accolades like Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.

Now tasked with bolstering a Nittany Lions receiving corps currently missing Koby Howard, Sowell must lean on his extensive collegiate experience to deliver results.
