Patriots sign Xavier Newman-Johnson to practice squad, release rookie lineman

The New England Patriots have added offensive lineman Xavier Newman-Johnson to their practice squad while parting ways with an unnamed first-year lineman.

Newman previously played for the New York Jets, donning jersey number 65 during a November 13, 2025 clash against New England at Gillette Stadium.
