New York Jets rookie Omar Cooper Jr. achieved a rare statistical milestone during Sunday's 28-25 defeat against the Miami Dolphins.
The wide receiver recorded 115 yards and a score on five catches, marking his second consecutive game with at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. This accomplishment makes him the first player in four decades to reach those marks in two of his first three professional appearances.
While he currently trails Tennessee's Carnell Tate and Cleveland's Denzel Boston in the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year, Cooper Jr. has quickly established himself as a significant threat despite missing time earlier this season due to an ankle injury.
