Minnesota guard Olivia Miles captured the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year honor on Monday following a standout debut campaign. Her stellar play propelled the Lynx to the top seed in the playoffs by securing the league's finest regular-season record at 33-11.
Miles paced her squad with 19.8 points and 6.0 assists per contest while adding 1.3 steals, landing her in the top tier of league producers across multiple statistical categories. She also secured a spot as a starter in the 2026 All-Star Game and swept every Rookie of the Month accolade by taking the prize four straight times.
During her historic first professional campaign, Miles shattered several previous rookie benchmarks. She established a new single-season scoring standard with 790 total points across 40 appearances, eclipsing the previous mark set by Caitlin Clark in 2024.
Miles also finished second in total assists for a rookie year with 239 behind Clark, while setting a new single-game record for successful three-pointers. Furthermore, she collected twenty-point performances on 22 occasions—surpassing franchise great Seimone Augustus—and finished her initial campaign fourth all-time in rookie scoring average at 19.75 points per contest.
