Ockenden to defend UK 10-mile title at Great South Run

Verity Ockenden returns to Portsmouth this Sunday to defend her national 10-mile crown at the AJ Bell Great South Run. She faces a competitive field that includes newcomer Izzy Fry, who recently competed at the Commonwealth Games.

The men's race features the debut of two-time Olympian Andy Butchart, who enters the event following a strong comeback season and a personal best performance at the Barcelona Half-marathon. The event, which is part of the Portsmouth100 celebrations, will host over 25,000 participants across the weekend.
