Notre Dame vs North Carolina Countdown: Irish Defense Looks To Shut Down Tarheels Offense

Notre Dame heads into this weekend holding some of the top defensive rankings nationwide across multiple categories through four games, giving up just 8.3 points and 199.3 yards per contest. They now prepare to test that stellar unit against a multi-pronged rushing attack featuring Demon June, Benjamin Hall, and Jaylen McGill alongside pass-catching threats like tight end Jelani Thurman and wide receiver Jordan Shipp.

On the sidelines, defensive coordinator Chris Ash prepares for another tactical battle against opposing coordinator Bobby Petrino. Meanwhile, standout defensive end Bryce Young looks to continue his strong individual campaign upfront for the Fighting Irish.
