Notre Dame's Season Credibility Is On The Line Against BYU

The undefeated Notre Dame squad enters a critical matchup against BYU on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 7:30 PM ET on ABC, hosted in Provo, Utah. Having cruised through their first six games against unranked competition to reach a number two ranking, the Irish now face their first ranked challenge of the season under massive pressure.

After skipping a potential postseason meeting with the Cougars last year, a defeat would severely damage the program's credibility and playoff trajectory.
