Norvell Falls from Top Spot in College Football Hot Seat Race

Florida State leader Mike Norvell has slipped away from the peak of hot-seat speculation following a two-win, two-loss start to the campaign. While recent performances showed some offensive growth against Alabama and Central Arkansas along with productive output from transfer running back Quintrevion Wisner, oddsmakers have established the Seminoles as small underdogs ahead of their matchup with Virginia.

Meanwhile, other coaches have drawn heavier scrutiny for their struggles, particularly USC leader Lincoln Riley. Following a recent defeat against Oregon and amid an ongoing conference slump, industry sources indicate the Trojans might evaluate parting ways despite a massive financial buyout.

South Carolina leader Shane Beamer has likewise faced early pressure following an even record through four contests.
