Northwestern Receives More Concerning Injury News Ahead of Rutgers

Northwestern is facing a growing list of injuries as they prepare for a home game against Rutgers. Tight end Luke Dehnicke and defensive back Josh Fussell are out, while defensive lineman Brendan Flakes and All-American safety Robert Fitzgerald are unlikely to play.

Linebackers Amare Jordan and defensive lineman Migo Jackson are currently listed as questionable.

Despite a 5-1 record, the Wildcats must manage these losses. Dehnicke, who had 140 yards and seven catches against Indiana, remains sidelined, forcing Alex Honig to take a larger role in Chip Kelly's offense.

The defense also misses Fitzgerald, who was absent during a 24-21 win over Michigan State, and Flakes, who blocked a field goal in that same victory.
