The Los Angeles Clippers will open their 2026-27 campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Intuit Dome against the Sacramento Kings with point guard Darius Garland listed as the featured player.
Garland joins a starting five that includes guard Kris Dunn, forwards Derrick Jones Jr. and Rui Hachimura, and center Isaiah Jackson, a lineup designed by coach Tyronn Lue to add an extra ball‑handler and create more pick‑and‑roll options.
The move follows Kawhi Leonard’s offseason trade to the Toronto Raptors, a deal that sent forward Brandon Ingram, guard Gradey Dick and several draft picks to Los Angeles. Ingram, expected to play a major role, will miss the opener while recovering from right heel surgery and a partially torn Achilles tendon, and rookie Keaton Wagler, the fifth overall pick, will debut off the bench.
