No. 8 Gators come back to earth during no-show at No. 25 Missouri

Eighth-ranked Florida suffered a sharp 45-17 defeat on the road against No. 25 Missouri, halting their early-season momentum following a prior victory over Ole Miss.

Head coach Jon Sumrall watched his squad struggle as Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons dismantled a depleted Gators secondary for 340 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Jamal Roberts contributed over 200 yards and three scores, including an 80-yard rush. Florida struggled offensively with quarterback Aaron Philo managing 197 yards and a touchdown while leading rusher Jadan Baugh was held to just 13 yards on twelve carries.
