No. 8 BYU vs. Iowa State: Cyclones’ visit is another reminder of how far Cougars have come in the Big 12

When eighth-ranked BYU prepares to host Iowa State on Friday night, the matchup serves as a stark reminder of how dramatically the program has progressed since a humiliating 45-13 home defeat against the same opponent in November 2023. Head coach Kalani Sitake has overseen a massive resurgence, with the Cougars putting together a dominant 27-4 stretch since the 2024 campaign began and opening this season at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Meanwhile, the Cyclones arrive at 3-2 and 1-1 in the league following the departure of former coach Matt Campbell to Penn State, leaving first-year leader Jimmy Rogers to manage the visiting squad.
