Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley remains in doubt for Week 5 after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s 24–20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Barkley managed just two carries for eight yards in the game, further limiting his already reduced role this season—he’s managed only 36 carries for 182 yards through four games, including missing most of Week 2 with a stinger.
Head coach Nick Sirianni indicated Monday that the team would have a clearer picture by Wednesday, emphasizing that Barkley is undergoing treatment and pushing to return as soon as possible. The Eagles’ backfield situation is already strained, however, with Tank Bigsby set to undergo core muscle surgery after his own injury against the Rams.
With Will Shipley as the lone healthy back on the roster, Philadelphia’s rushing attack could face significant challenges regardless of Barkley’s availability.
