The NFL Players Association has recognized Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson as the Community MVP for Week 5, honoring his efforts with The JJets Foundation. The organization hosted a Strike Out Cancer bowling event that successfully raised over $45,000 for the American Cancer Society, with Jefferson and fellow Vikings players engaging in games alongside 25 cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.
As part of the event, Jefferson also gifted two Super Bowl LVI tickets to a young cancer survivor, further emphasizing the initiative’s impact. The NFLPA’s decision includes a $10,000 donation to Jefferson’s foundation, while he remains eligible for the season-ending Alan Page Award alongside other weekly honorees.
Jefferson expressed gratitude for the support behind the inaugural event, stating his commitment to expanding its reach in future years. The recognition underscores the player’s dedication to community service beyond his on-field contributions, highlighting the broader role athletes play in philanthropy.
