The NFL has clarified that defensive tackle Zxavian Harris is now eligible to sign with any team as a free agent, reversing an earlier ruling that had barred him from doing so. Harris, who recorded 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and an interception for Ole Miss last season, had attempted to join LSU after being waived by the New Orleans Saints in August.
The league determined he did not participate in any football activities in college after his release, making him eligible to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Meanwhile, tight end Dae’Quan Wright, who was also ruled ineligible earlier, remains unaffected by this change, with no update to his status provided by the league.
